The Pacific Telecommunications Council is an international community of members with a common vision and mission. Through a network of members extending across more than 60 nations, PTC promotes the development and use of telecommunications and ICT (information and communications technologies) to enhance the lives of people living in the Pacific hemisphere.
PTC's members use telecom and ICT to improve commerce, governance, education, health, safety, and the human condition in general. A superb environment for senior-level business networking draws thousands to Honolulu each January during the annual conference.
PTC’s conference, seminars, member programs and committees provide real and virtual gathering points for communications professionals seeking solutions -- to do business together, and to share the latest knowledge about communications technology, services, and best practices.
PTC's acclaimed annual conference held in Honolulu, Hawaii every January is the pre-eminent meeting place for telecom and ICT industry executives, professionals, government representatives, educators, regulators, lawyers, researchers and many others. This senior-level event attacts over 200 Presidents, Chief Executives and other top-level industry leaders along with over 500 "C-suite" and senior executives (COO, CTO, CFO, Executive Vice President, etc.) among the participants.
No other organization serves the wide range of communicators that is served by PTC. Dubbed the "Davos of Telecoms in the Pacific", the annual conference provides an open forum and ready access to the highest levels of industry. All this and Hawaii too!
If you are involved in telecommunications and ICT in any way in the Pacific hemisphere and globally, you will find valuable resources, contacts and friends as a member of PTC. First organized in 1978 and incorporated in 1980, PTC is an international, non-profit, non-governmental membership organization.
PTC is lead by a 14 member-elected Board of Governors that has the responsibilities of strategic development and fiduciary oversight. An Advisory Council of elected members and Board appointments provides valuable knowledge and industry experience to help guide the organization. The Secretariat, headed by the CEO, organizes the annual conference, seminars and other events as well as the day-to-day affairs of the Council.
