Vocallo MGW will contract Hitachi to construct the NETTOWER CX-01 to provide enterprise customers the option to merge both corporate data networks and TDM voice networks.
Hitachi has chosen the media processing and wireless applications provider, Octasico's Vocallo Media Gateway (MGW) multi-core DSP platform to use in its hybrid IP-PBX NETTOWER CX-01 for voice media processing in VoIP systems.
Octasic will also provide the complete software for its processor and it will act as a single source vendor to Hitachi. Hitachi customers will also experience the echo cancellation and voice quality enhancement technology being implemented.
NETTOWER CX-01 allows networks to be aggregated into a single next-generation converged voice communication environment, either visual or mobile.
A seamless mobile environment is enabled easily by "work space, anytime, anywhere" ability of the new technology.
It reduces costs and improves productivity in the areas of video communications. In conjunction with a variety of mobile devices, including a variety of business space such as a desk in the conference room, it is possible to have a simple visual communications device with video.
The "CX-01" can capture the latest network technology and evolving services, enabling smart communications and more. Moreover, there’s possible support from traditional PBX functionality, with even the traditional circuits to build IP networks.Hitachi believes in one vision and one strategy to meet the various needs of VoIP companies.
The NETTOWER CX-01 allows an IP-PBX that meets current enterprise requirements in reliability and flexible scalability. Full support for Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) features and smartphones allows the NETTOWER CX-01 to provide mobile phone users added convenience in their day-to-day operations.
The Vocallo MGW software package includes voice processing with full support for a wide range of wideband codecs such as AMR-WB (G.722.2), G.722, G.722.1, G.729.1, and SILK.
