Legerity has introduced VoiceChip 9502, a dual channel, single chip SLIC that includes on-chip ringing, integrated switching regulators and universal interfaces. The technology is designed to connect two analog phone lines to cable and DSL modems. The SLIC operates at 3.3V

The 9502 is the first product to be introduced in Legerity’s new VoiceChip family of VoB semiconductors. The product categories in the line will include programmable voice codec ICs, ringing SLIC ICs, and integrated VoB chipsets.

VoiceChip products will feature software programmable to operate in more than 100 countries, interoperability with popular DSPs and network processors, SLIC devices developed with Legerity’s proprietary technology, and integrated test features that enable remote diagnostics of telephone sets and lines by broadband network service providers.
