AT&T Broadens Voice Over IP Portfolio for Global Enterprises
AT&T has announced that it has expanded its VoIP portfolio for businesses to include VoIP connectivity for AT&T Managed Data Network Services (MDNS) in more than 40 countries. The MDNS users can now link on-net locations across the globe via the VoIP service, which compresses voice calls into prioritized IP packets and routes them in and between each company’s VPNs attached to AT&T’s Global Network. AT&T will also manage the networks, access, and on-premises routers for MDNS customers.

Oki Teams With Embranet to Supply Voice/Data To Banking Federation
The Associacao Commercial Do Parana (ACP) has announced that it has reached an agreement with Oki Network Technologies (Oki NT) and Embranet, a Brazilian ASP and project manager, in which the firms intend to deploy Oki NT’s BV1250 and TA VoIP gateways to develop a system to provide voice communications to various offices throughout the State of Parana via a state-wide IP-based network. The organizations initially plan to deploy the VoIP equipment in more than 250 offices (financial institutions, clearinghouses, credit card managers and other financial services).

The first phase of the project, which began in August, is scheduled to be completed sometime next month, when the second phase is slated to begin, with completion scheduled for January of next year.

Vocalis Telecom Deploys MaxBill’s CC&B Solution
Vocalis Telecom reported that it has implemented MaxBill’s Maxbill customer care and billing system to bill and manage its pan-European telecommunications operations. Based on the Maxbill CC&B system, Vocalis has rolled out a network throughout fifteen countries in Europe, which it uses to offer fixed-line voice, data and Internet services to business and residential customers, carriers, resellers and ISPs. MaxBill’s CC&B platform enables Vocalis to offer convergent, prepaid and customized services over the IP/ATM network, providing tools for Internet self-care, CRM capabilities, profit and margin analysis, fraud management, auditing and threshold-monitoring.

BroadSoft and Siemens Team To Develop Interoperability
Siemens Enterprise Networks said that it has teamed with BroadSoft to successfully develop interoperability between BroadSoft’s BroadWorks service delivery system and Siemens optiPoint 100 advance SIP telephones.
